Studies have shown that most people
find their home by looking on the internet or by driving around in the specific
neighborhood they are interested in, most buyers can find a home on their own,
real estate agents really do not do enough work these days to justify a 7%
commission, but real estate companies that have been around forever still have a
corner on the market and continue to charge high commissions to line their
pockets and pay their high luxury overhead costs. They simply do not have
to work as hard as they did years ago before the internet. On a $250,000
home you would pay $17,500.00 at 7% commission, does a real estate company really deserve
that much commission for a few hours of work?
NO NO NO NO!!!!
If $20.00 per hour sounds fair for someone trying to sell your house, then they
should work
875 hours
to earn a commission of $17,500.00.
Just estimate how many hours you think they work to sell a home and divide it
into $17,500.00 and ask yourself is it fair... |
